Lola ve Komşu Çocuk- Lola and The Boy Next Door Stephanie Perkins

Huyumdur her kitap alacağımda harcadığım zamanın ve paranın haybeye gitmemesi icin uzun uzun kitapla ilgili yazılan yorumları okur blogları kurcalarım,
ancak değeceğine emin olduktan sonra alırım kitabı. Işte bu da defalarca kitapçılarda elime alıp geri bıraktığım, en nihayetinde her blogda ve kitapçıda karşıma çıktığı için merakıma yenik düşüp aldığım kitap.

Tabiki araştırmalarımın verdigi haklı bir hevesle başladım kitaba ancak beklentimi yüksek tuttuğumdan olsa gerek kitap beni hayal kırıklığına uğrattı ne yazıkki. Kitabın sonunu baştan rahatça görebildiğim gerçeğini bir yana bırakabilirsem eğer, -ki kitabin finalinde şaşkınlığa uğramaya hep bayılırım- sürükleyici ve kendini okutan bir kitap oldugunu söyleyebilirim. 

Kısaca konusuna değinecek olursam,

Lola’nın hayatı, rockçı erkek arkadaşı, kendi hazırladığı göz alıcı kostümleri ve fazla pimpirikli iki babasıyla mutlu denilebilecek bir düzende ilerlerken bütün hayatını alt üst edecek o olay sonunda gerçekleşiyordu. O aile, geçmişi de beraberlerinde getirerek eski evlerine taşınıyorlardı. Lola’nın çoktan unuttuğunu sandığı her şey eskisinden daha şiddetli bir halde yeniden yüzüne çarpıyordu. Lola’nın geçmişiyle baş etmeye çalışırken şimdiki zamana da uyum sağlama çabasını, kardeş sevgisinin nelere sebep olduğunu ve masumiyet dolu bir aşkı okuyoruz bu kitapta.

Ayrıca bu kitabı alma nedenlerimden en önemlisi kapaktaki hepimizin aşina olduğu Golden Gate fotoğrafı idi. Eh hal böyle olunca insan şehri de hikayenin icinde görmek, ünlü sokak isimlerini duymak ve yokuşlarda yorulmak istiyor. En azından bir tadımlık San Francisco betimlemesi bekliyor. Fakat, sevgili yazar bu konuda da beklentilerimi karşılayamadı maalesef.

Her şeye rağmen karakterleri çok sevdim hatta bağrıma bastım. Kitabı bitirdiğimde bir yandan karakterleri özlerken bir yandan da yeryüzünde neden Cricket gibi erkekler olmadığını sorgularken ve Lola’yı içten içe kıskanırken buldum kendimi. :)

Lola And The Boy Next Door

It is my habit to read comments and blogs about a book before I buy because I do not want to waste my time and money. Only if I feel it worths its cost and the time that I am going to spent, I buy it.

Here is the book that I have taken it to my hand then decided not to buy so many times. Eventually, because I see this book in every bookstore and blog, I have fallen victim to curiosity so I bought it.

Of course, I have started reading with such a huge enthusiasm because I had rely on my researches.  However, the book has disappointed me unfortunately. If I can forget the fact that I could see the end of the book from the beginning, I can say that the book is escapist.

If I touch on its topic,

Lola’s life was going kind of happy with her rocker boyfriend, dashy costumes that she makes and very strict two fathers, until the thing that ruins her life has happened. 

That family was moving back to their old house, which is Lola’s next door, with bringing the past with them. Everything that Lola thought she has forgotten was throwing up to her face. 

In this book, we read Lola’s effort accommodating herself today, when she is trying to deal with past, what love of sibling can cause, and of course love with full of innocency. 

Also, one of the most important reasons that I bought this book was the Golden Gate picture on the cover. For this reason, I wanted to read about the city, hear about famous streets in San Francisco, and get tired on the hills. However unfortunately, the writer could not have satisfied my expectations again.

After all, I really really like the characters. When I finished reading the book, I miss the characters. Also, I questioned why there is no man in this world like Cricked, and realized that I was jealous of Lola. :)
